CHRISTINA HELMS

What my class is like: Inclusive and welcoming so that students of all levels can experience the joys and benefits of yoga. A student of many different styles of yoga, my classes combine elements of different lineages for a full mind/ body experience. I strive to create intelligently sequenced classes that are challenging yet joyful, always with awareness on breath and alignment. 

 

Favorite mantra: Practice and all is coming.


Off the mat: Hanging out with my hubby and kids or hiking in the South Mountain reservation with my black lab, Rigby.


Currently on playlist: Air, Cinematic Orchestra, Jai Uttal, Fourtet, Little Dragon, DJ Drez, Aphex Twin.

 

Favorite pose: Ardha Chandrasana.  A perfect combination of expansion, lightness and balance.

SARAH BODNAR

What my class is like: Challenging but adaptible for all levels, I focus on alignment but with the freedom to flow and lose yourself in a moving meditiation.  Each class has a purpose whether it is to build to a peak pose or to explore a yoga principle on the mat.

 

Off the mat: Cuddle time with my pup, adventures with my family and cheering on the seahawks

 

If I wasn't teaching yoga: I would probably be a Freelance Graphic Designer which I do part time now. I love the ability to be creative and see a project develop from beginning to end.


Currently on my playlist: Bob Marley, The National, Trevor Hall, Groove Armada, Radiohead, Krishna Das. 


Favorite pose: Childs Pose :)! It feels like coming home.

RADHIKA TRUFFA

What my class is like: My flow classes have a strong focus on alignment, moving slow with the breath, and they usually build up to a peak pose. My two rules for class are to be safe and to have fun. 

Off the mat:  I am a mother of two girls and two dogs I am also an exercise physiologist and personal trainer.


My favorite pose is:  I have a couple favorite poses depending on my mood. Downward dog when I need to come back home into my body, pigeon when I need to release tension, side angle pose when I need to align my body and mind, and handstand variations when I'm feeling playful.


I love yoga because:  it supports me wherever I am in my life and it helps me keep a playful attitude towards life.

If I wasn't teaching yoga: I would be rock climbing.
